Name: Dinah Laurel Lance, but she's more commonly known and referred to as simply Laurel Lance.
Door: Right.

Canon: DCTV's Arrow.
Canon Point: The end of 6x14, "Collision Course", as a near-fatally wounded Laurel escapes from her pursuers and asks a stranger to help her.

Age: 33.
Appearance: ( 1 | 2 | 3 )

History: HOW CUTE.
Personality: Where Earth-1's version of Laurel Lance was the ever-shining golden child of Star City, a well-respected lawyer by day and the vigilante Black Canary by night, this Laurel is anything but; she wasn't born this way, but shaped by the tragedies that have befallen her time and time again. She is:
CRUEL. After her father was killed by a drunk driver on the way to get her a cake for her 13th birthday, she was nearly emotionally destroyed, but after a few years, her relationship with Oliver Queen helped her feel normal again. She had a light in her life for the first time in her life and then a shipwreck that left Oliver dead completely snuffed it out. Feeling hopeless, she moved to Central City with the hopes of starting a new life, only to be affected by Harrison Wells' particle accelerator explosion that made her into a metahuman with the ability to sonic scream up to 250 decibels. While others turned to heroism with their newfound abilities, Laurel's grief overtook her and she channeled her anger and desire to feel something into sheer destruction.

With the new moniker Black Siren and assuming a position as a veritable supervillain, Laurel's sadistic nature seems to know no bounds. She's a self-proclaimed lover of bringing down buildings with a single scream regardless of the consequences, and has killed people without an ounce of remorse. She emotionally manipulates many of the people on Earth-1 by posing as their version of Laurel, leading them on until she can strike when they least expect it, and is rife with a dark, callous, sarcasm at the expense of others. If it means getting what she wants, breaking down her enemy physically or mentally, there isn't anything that Laurel won't do.

PROUD. Among the things Laurel gained when she was granted her metahuman abilities is a supreme sense of self, even to the occasional point of overconfidence. She knows the extent of her powers — and knows how much more capable she is with them than without them — and is more than willing to flaunt them. She laughs off the notion that she can be defeated, even reduces many of her opponents and their weaknesses to "cute" (her favorite condescending word), though her hubris has come back to bite her in the ass more than once. That certainly hasn't stopped her from flaunting herself, though. If anything, it just makes Laurel want to get back up and prove everyone wrong — prove just how capable she really is.

COWARDLY. Although she is outwardly very self-confident and certainly isn't shy about using her abilities, deep down, Laurel is afraid. After suffering so much loss in her life, there's a part of her that fears what lies next for her, even fears her own death despite joking constantly about the death of her Earth-1 counterpart and disparaging her for being dead. She's smart enough to know that isolating herself and working alone makes her the one and only target for those trying to stop her and put her down, so instead, she aligns herself with other powerful people — or, more specifically, powerful men. There's Zoom and his metahuman army hellbent on taking down The Flash and starting a war; there's Prometheus, whose thirst to kill Oliver Queen, who shares the face of the man she'd loved and lost, can't be stopped. There's the superhacker Cayden James and his criminal cabal looking for revenge for his murdered son, only for her to realize that Ricardo Diaz was pulling the strings all along. Laurel is a faithful second-in-command to each and every one of these men, despite being more powerful than nearly each and every one of them, and yet her plan works: these men do not survive, and Laurel, using them as a shield, does.
And yet, despite — or maybe because of — all of these things, Laurel is:
ADAPTABLE. Laurel Lance isn't stupid; if she were, she would've been dead by now, either by succumbing to her own grief, or being killed for her villainous actions afterwards. She knows how to manipulate, whether it be through flirting with a particularly pretty mark before she takes it upon herself to kill her, or to act like Quentin Lance's beloved dead daughter in order to gain the affection of a father who isn't even truly hers, or to verbally and occasionally physically appease her current boss in order to stay on his good side even if she's lying through her teeth.

At Laurel's current canon point, bleeding profusely, hardly able to walk, she has the resilience and level of self-preservation to literally drag herself towards a man getting into his car in the middle of nowhere, suddenly putting on the act of a girl who'd just escaped being kidnapped and held hostage for month, battered and beaten. She says that she doesn't know how long she'd been gone, but she tells the man that she's Laurel Lance — the Laurel Lance from Star City, the Black Canary, thought murdered by Damien Darhk and grieved by all. And just like that, she slips into the skin of her fallen Earth-1 counterpart and saves herself once again.

Powers and Abilities: After the particle accelerator explosion in Central City, Laurel's DNA mutated and gave her the following metahuman abilities:
SONIC SCREAM. Laurel is able to quite literally scream with a power of up to 250 decibels. This is enough to immobilize people due to the high frequency, cause hearing damage, destroy inanimate objects through its sonic wave (even take down entire buildings, though this can obviously be nerfed/downsized in-game!), and even, in concentrated amounts, be enough to cause an internal hemorrhage within a human (even one with regenerative powers) to kill them.

METAHUMAN PHYSIOLOGY. As a metahuman, Laurel is at the peak of human physical condition. She's stronger than the average human (though not exceedingly so), can tolerate a higher amount of pain, and has been shown to survive wounds that may kill an ordinary human due to possible accelerated healing. Additionally, as expected of any badass supervillain, she's pretty great at physical combat, too, though that's a learned skill more than anything.
Inventory: Laurel will arrive with the clothes on her back — still battered and bloodied (though she'll (hopefully) be healed once she arrives in Duplicity), a small dagger in her pocket, and a tube of black lipstick.
